HKREITA Joins “Government Budget and Land Sale Programme 2024/25” Seminar

HKREITA participated in a seminar on “Government Budget and Land Sale Programme 2024/25” co-organised by The University of Hong Kong Real Estate Society (HKU RES) and The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors Planning and Development Division (HKIS PDD) on 9 March 2024 (Saturday).  More than 60 participants, including HKU students and HKIS members, attended the seminar.

At the seminar, Mr Hubert Chak, Honorary Founding President of HKREITA and Executive Director and CEO of SF REIT, gave the participants an introduction to HKREITA on its works and missions.  Mr Chak also commented on the recent budget concerning H-REITs, welcomed the Hong Kong Government’s support for policies to promote H-REITs.

In the final Q&A session, Mr Chak discussed the benefits of investing in REITs and the impact of a high interest rate environment on the property market.
