HKREITA Hosted a Luncheon with Ms Alexandra Yeong, SFC Interim Head of Investment Products

Hong Kong REITS Association (HKREITA) organised a luncheon with Ms Alexandra Yeong, Interim Head of Investment Products at the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), on 30 January 2026. Senior executives of HKREITA’s corporate members, namely Link REIT, SF REIT, Spring REIT and Yuexiu REIT, as well as representatives from four other Hong Kong-listed REITs, along with HKREITA members and industry professionals, attended the luncheon and engaged in fruitful discussions with the guests.

In his opening remarks, Mr Kok Siong Ng, Executive Director & Group Chief Financial Officer of Link Asset Management, expressed his gratitude for the steadfast support of members since the Association’s inception in 2022. He highlighted how HKREITA has evolved into a vital collaborative platform, uniting industry stakeholders to drive growth through active dialogues with policymakers and regulators.

In her speech, Ms Yeong highlighted the SFC’s commitment to writing the next chapter for the city’s REIT market through a competitive regime and collaboration with the industry. She emphasised that the early implementation of REIT Connect remains a top priority for the SFC, noting that good progress has been made. She added that the SFC hopes this key initiative can be implemented as soon as possible and will announce more details once ready.
